Sydney Brenner Collection
The Sydney Brenner Collection consists of over 300 manuscript boxes of materials documenting the life of Dr. Sydney Brenner, documenting his early years as a student in South Africa, to his work as a scientist and administrator at the Medical Research Council (MRC) and other institutions, to his role in the biotechnology industry in the United Kingdom.
Charles B. Davenport Collection
The Charles B. Davenport Collection contains the papers of Davenport and those of his wife Gertrude Crotty Davenport. It consists of family, institutional, and scientific photographs, biographical material, memorabilia, correspondence, photocopies of his articles, and supporting material. It is divided into four record groups: Record Group I: Photographs; Record Group II: Biographical Material; Record Group III: Memorabilia; and Record Group IV: Supporting Material.
Reginald G. Harris Collection
The Reginald Harris Collection consists of biographical documents, professional correspondence, and records of biological research expeditions spanning Central and South America and North Africa. It is divided into three series: Series I: Photographs, 1912-1933; Series II: Personal Papers, 1892-1998; and Series III: Professional Papers, 1909-1940. Of note, the administrative records of the Long Island Biological Association contain information that relates to this collection.
Roberto Malinow Laboratory Collection
This Collection is composed primarily of material generated by the Roberto Malinow Laboratory Group (Dr. Roberto Malinow and his laboratory staff) during their tenure at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from 1994 until 2006. A small portion of laboratory notebooks are from Dr. Malinow’s, and his colleague Dezhi Liao’s, previous work at the University of Iowa.
