Record Group II
Scope and Contents
This record group consists of material that was donated by Philip Goelet in 2023. The items were created during the time that Goelet and Brenner were involved in biotech ventures together, namely Acidophil and Dihedron. Some of the material relates directly to these companies, while others were simply produced in the same time period of 1991-2005 and stored together with the biotech material. The correspodence was arranged to match the organization of the correspondence in the first record group.
The second record group is divided into five series:
- Correspondence, 1991-2005
- Writings, 1990-2004
- Acidophil and Dihedron, 1982-2005
- Personal Papers, 1991-2023

Arrangement
The material was received in seven boxes. Five boxes contained general correspondence, while the remaining two contained material relating to Acidophil and Dihedron. Much of the correspondence was already divided based on the corresponding party, but some was grouped by date. This correspondence was sorted based on the corresponding party and either added to Brenner's existing folders or given new folders. Correspondents who had only one or two records on file were placed together based on the first letter of the filing name. The logic of the first record group was used as a guide for arranging the series, subseries, and files in the second record group.
