DNA Fingerprinting: John Hicks, 1989

The video cassettes were found labeled with titles and most with dates. A small number were devoid of title and date. They were unsorted and most did not have title numbers (see Hi-8s). However, a previous archivist catalogued one group of primarily VHS (a few S-VHS). This list was cross checked and discrepancies and missing cassettes noted. More than 50% (approximately 420 out of 725) of the cassettes on this list were missing. The processing archivist created two additional lists: a list of tapes labeled “Master” (38 tapes) and a second list organized by date (290 tapes).
