Scope and Contents
The Personal Papers series consists of files that Dr. Brenner identified as "personal" and is divided into four subseries:
- Degrees, Awards, and Honors (1971-2006)
- Biographical (1981-2010)
- Finances (1952-2006)
- Diaries and Planners (1980-2006)
The Degrees, Awards, and Honors subseries (SB/5/1) consists of degrees Dr. Brenner received throughout his life and files related to the numerous honors Dr. Brenner has received throughout his career. The Biographical subseries (SB/5/2) includes Brenner's curriculum vitae, publication lists, and a biography of May Brenner. The third subseries, Finances (SB/5/3), consists of records regarding income (such as consulting agreements and stock certificates/ agreements), donations, receipts, and travel expenses. The final 4 boxes of the series consists of Diaries and Planners (SB/5/4) that document Brenner's day-to-day activities from 1980-2006 (See also: Intineraries in the Subject Files (SB/4/1)).
