Content Description

The digitized results of CLIR's Recordings at Risk grant. The grant was application #922 and was submitted on Jan 29, 2021. Project title: "CSHL Oral History Digitization: Preserving the History of Scientific Discoveries in Modern Biology". The media digitized included: Hi8 8mm videos, MiniDV, DV CAM, VHS, 1" 34min videos, 8mm film, 16mm film and cassette audio tapes (from Banbury). Contains "field tapes", used for the production of a CSHL/CableVision documentary on CSHL.Audio cassette tapes from the Banbury meeting center, interviews done at the Symposium by Meetings and Courses, and other materials.

The content was delivered on three 8TB USB hard drives labeled: CSHL_27366, CSHL_27773, CSHL_27804, on March 2022. There were 6 batches of files divided between the three hard drives... CSHL_27366 contains: 27366, 27707, 27747. CSHL_27773 contains: 27773, 27780. CSHL_27804 contains: 27804. There is expected to be a copy of the materials delivered on LTO-8 tapes, along with the original materials.
