Amos G. Avery Photographic Collection
Selection of photographs in the possession of Amos G. Avery taken between the years of 1926-42. The majority of the photographs were taken in the 1930’s. This collection includes 129 unsorted photographs, approximately 75 negatives, and 3 scrapbooks.
Alan W. Bernheimer Sr. Collection
The Dr. Alan Bernheimer Sr. Collection contains reports, topographical maps, announcements, surveys, and publications relevant to the development and natural history of the town of Cold Spring Harbor, New York, including materials regarding Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum. The Collection also contains reprints, printed materials, and correspondence.

Cold Spring Harbor Blueprints and Maps Collection
This is a collection of blueprints, surveys, drawings and maps, many with handwritten notes. Included are the original blue prints for many buildings at CSHL and topographical depictions grounds in the Village of Laurel Hollow and Nassau County that were leased or owned by the Carnegie Institute of Washington, Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences, Long Island Biological Association and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Collection
The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Collection contains papers of the members of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and The Long Island Biological Association from the years 1962-2010. The materials consist of correspondence, meeting notes, financial papers, fundraising papers and development plans. The collection is divided into 5 series: Series 1: Administration; Series 2: Development; Series 3: Financials; Series 4: Fundraising; Series 5: Science and Research.
Hugo Fricke Collection
The Hugo Fricke Collection contains laboratory notebooks, correspondence, lantern and glass slides, and scientific papers. Fricke pioneered ionization methods in the early 1920’s. Hugo Fricke’s papers on radiation are still cited today so access to his laboratory notebooks would be an asset to scientists.
Long Island Biological Association Collection
The Long Island Biological Association Collections contains papers and ledgers of the members of the Long Island Biological Association from the years 1923-1962. The materials consist of correspondence, meeting notes, financial papers, fundraising papers and development plans.
Barbara McClintock Collection
The Barbara McClintock Collection consists of 10 series pertinent to the life of a world-renowned plant geneticist and Nobel prize winner. There are materials relevant to both her personal life as well as her scientific work. Within the series, you will find correspondence, published materials, photographs, slides, negatives, artifacts, and memorabilia.
